PAPER SUBMISSION

The paper submission portal is EDAS (http://edas.info).

Notifications to authors of the refereeing outcome were sent out on April 22, 2010The deadline for the final camera-ready paper is May 17, 2010. Authors of accepted papers are requested to upload their final manuscript (camera-ready paper) to EDAS by May 17, 2010.  Detailed instructions are provided below and in the acceptance notification.

Authors are encouraged to use LaTeX to format their manuscripts, using the style file and example below. Authors using other means to prepare their manuscripts should attempt to duplicate the style of the example as closely as possible. To view the style, print out the file ‘spcom_2010example.pdf’ below.

Your final manuscript must be uploaded via EDAS. Note that this is a separate website. No upload facility is available on this SPCOM site.

1. Submitted manuscripts should not exceed 5 pages in length, should use font size no smaller than 10 points and should have all 4 margins on a page of width 0.5 inches or larger.  The page limit of 5 pages will be strictly imposed. More detailed instructions are provided in the file ‘spcom_2010example.tex’ below.

2. Next, go to the IEEE PDF eXpress site at www.pdf-express.org to obtain an IEEE PDF eXpress certified PDF file of the final manuscript.  Click on the link "New Users - Click Here", fill in your information and create a new account. You will need the Conference ID, which is: spcom10x. There are two ways of using IEEE PDF eXpress: you can either upload your source file(s) for conversion, or upload your PDF for checking. Once the PDF file is approved, the file properties will say “Content Creator: ‘Certified by IEEE PDFeXpress at (date) (time)’ ”. This verifies that your file is IEEE Xplore compatible. Please note that only IEEE PDF eXpress certified PDF files must be uploaded to EDAS as the final manuscript.

3. Submit your IEEE copyright form. For your convenience, the IEEE copyright form is made available electronically through EDAS. Authors who are not authorized to sign a copyright transfer form, should download the paper version of a copyright transfer form from http://www.ieee.org/publications_standards/publications/rights/copyrightmain.html. The authorized person should sign it and send it to the SPCOM 2010 Administrator (Attn. Chandra Murthy) by FAX: +91 80 2360 0563.

NO PAPER WILL BE PUBLISHED WITHOUT THE SIGNED IEEE COPYRIGHT FORM.

4. Submit the final, IEEE PDF eXpress-certified PDF(s) via EDAS. Final papers MUST be uploaded by May 17, 2010.

Failure to comply with any of the steps mentioned above will likely result in your paper getting excluded from the Conference Program, Proceedings, and/or IEEE Xplore.

5. REGISTRATION: At least one author per paper must register by MAY 17, 2010 for the paper to appear in the final Program and the proceedings. Registration is required even for papers with student authors. One author registration can cover up to three papers. Note that one of the authors must present the paper at the conference to ensure inclusion in the conference proceedings and IEEE Xplore.

6. Every accepted paper should be covered by a FULL REGISTRATION by May 17, 2010. Full registration is required even for papers with student authors. Accepted papers must be presented at SPCOM 2010 to ensure inclusion in the conference proceedings and IEEE Xplore. For information about registration, click
