                              `Wireless Sensor Networks`


We are looking for project staff who can assist us in various aspects of projects in the area
of Wireless Sensor Networks. There is one position with the following job description and
associated qualification requirements. Lots of enthusiasm and appetite for working in a
research environment is a common requirement.

Required skill set: Strong academic training in algorithmic aspects of communication net-
     working (preferably with exposure to wireless networking), and analytical aspects such
     as probability, random processes, queueing, system level programming in C, Java, work-
     ing knowledge of Matlab and/or any network simulation tool is desirable.

Job description: To assist the project faculty in various aspects of the project, in partic-
     ular, understanding networking algorithms (and even helping to develop and analyse
     them), implementing them on embedded platforms, developing GUI front end, design
     and development of wireless network simulation code including, running simulations
     and generating and plotting performance results. Additional responsibilities include
     compilation of reports, prototype implementation and testing, preparation of presenta-
     tions, and any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time (purchase,
     website maintenance, lab upkeep, etc.).

Duration: 12 months.

Qualifications & Emoluments:

       1. Project Assistant: B.E./B.Tech.in Electronics and Communication Engineering /
          Electrical Engineering / Computer Science.
          Remuneration : Rs.16,000 consolidated for fresh graduates,(increments for experi-
          ence and additional qualifications)

        	    `Building a Next Generation WLAN Manager`

We are looking for system software developers with good academic background who can work on various as-
pects of the above R&D project with the following job description and associated qualification requirements.
Lots of enthusiasm and appetite for working in a research environment is a common requirement.

Project Domain: Performance Management of 802.11 WLANs.

Required skill set: Good in C programming, data structures and algorithms, communication networking.
      A reasonably good mathematical background, and working knowledge of Matlab are desirable.

Job description: 1) Design and development of algorithms for performance enhancement of WLAN, 2)
      Proof-of-concept prototype implementation in C and testing 3) Extensive experimentation over a re-
      alistic testbed and in the field 4) Generating and plotting performance results and analyzing them
      5) Compilation of reports, preparation of presentations, and any other responsibilities that may be
      assigned from time to time (website maintenance, lab upkeep, etc.).
Duration: One year.

Qualifications & Emoluments:
      BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering / Electrical Engineering /
      Computer Science who scored above 70% aggregate or an equivalent CGPA can apply.
      Consolidated : Rs.16,000-500-25,000 per month for BE/BTech
      Rs.21,500-625-34,000 per month for ME/MTech
